Jessica Weiss
Jessica this month's Student Focus. She is
Space Grant’s new Outreach team lead and helps get K-12 students interested in
math and science. This semester she is working with a group of MESA students in
Longmont where the 5th graders are learning about rockets and GPS.
Jessica is a Junior who is currently seeking a BS Major in Chinese and Asian
Studies major. She is also currently taking core engineering classes and will
start her Electrical Engineering degree in the Fall 2007. She has had a
great breadth of life experiences before coming to CU 1.5 years ago. She
was in the Marine corps and was able to travel around the world including Japan,
California and Iraq working as an electronics technician and as a perimeter
lead.
