Robot Challenge
Hardware
We will be using Parallax RF Receiver #27981 on
the robots. It has a analog output which can be read by a microcontroller
via an ADC. We are opting for the ADS7818 12-Bit ADC for no special reason
other than I had some laying around unwanted/unused. The code in Basic
Stamp has already been sent. I believe I have the code for a PIC at home.
We will provide a Parallax RF Transmitter #27980 operating with code that
has been sent. The short version of the code is it simple repeats the
transmission of a "1" followed by a 8-bit zero. The receiver can lock in on
this signal.
We have extra for the receivers in case any high
schools need them.
